The village of Hullbridge stands on the South Bank of the River Crouch and is home to 7,300 residents.

It is surrounded by green belt on three sides and the River Crouch on the forth.

Many people know the village from 'the Anchor At Hullbridge' pub & restaurant, which boasts a 'Michelin Bib Gourmand' award - the only restaurant in Essex to hold this prestigious award,

Having over two miles of river frontage, the parish is well known as a Sailing Centre and used by the local boating fraternity, with hundreds of moorings and three yacht clubs.

The village has an active comminuty and plenty of other amenities including the Riverside Primary School (opened September 2010 and with a 'Good' OFSTED rating), a Post Office, Library, 2 supermarkets - Budgens and a Co-op, Chinese and fish and chip takeaway service, an Indian restaurant, Community Centre and a Sports Club.

Hullbridge contains a network of well-maintained footpaths, which meander through the surrounding farmland and the 9 acre Kendal Park Nature Reserve.

The village is approx. 2.6 miles north of Rayleigh where you can join the A127 giving London access.

The nearest Mainline Railway Station is Rayleigh, which runs between Southend and Londons' Liverpool Street Station, the commute to London being approx. 43 minutes.

The village takes its name from a Roman bridge that once crossed the river, although at low tide one can walk across the river at the Anchor Pub.
